"The Rules of Attribution"
Today so many people download music illigeally. Even though its illigeal people keep doing it because if they can get it for free somewhere why pay money to download it. Also many people get reports and papers off the internet and use them as their own for classes. This happens more and more. Before college I truely thought that it was OK to do all these things if it was in moderation. I was never really taught about plagiarism. Yes teachers said not to plagiaris but the never went into the details.
"Cultural Renaissance or Cultural Divide?"
While I was reading "Cultural Renaissance or Cultural Divide?" by Bill Ivey and Steven J. Tepper I noticed the difference in Pop Culture today from Pop Culture in years past. I realized how today an "amateur" can post something on youtube and if a lot of people look at it and like it then that person or group can become famous and possibly make some money. Today people at their homes can get on the internet and browse anything in the world. Getting on youtube to look at something someone else has mentioned happens all the time. In my own experience when I hear a friend of mine at practice talking about the lastest thing on youtube, I go home and look it up. In the past this knowledge was so instintaneous.
