Advertising
It doesn't matter where I go or what I do I am always influenced by advertisements. Driving down a road, working on my computer, or eating at a restaurant. Advertising is very big and will continue to grow. I think that it is a good idea for schools to allow advertising for money but not for the curriculum to consist of advertising. Kids see advertising enough let them atleast work in school without this nuesence. This shows that advertising is an often used technology to get people to buy their product or go to their store. So next time your out driving in your car or just walking down the street look twice and see how many advertiements there are and what ways the company uses them.
What's Wrong With Cinderella?
Peggy Orenstein’s article What's Wrong with Cinderella to me was a little off. I don't understand why little girls can't be whatever they want to be when they are young. If they want to be princesses then let them be. I don't think that later in life that the girls will be followers because of the Disney princess characters. The girls might be girlie girlie for awhile but when they are older it won't pay any mean for the girl to be inferior to anyone else. When I was young I played outside of course but when I was inside I played with army figures. I don't play with them anymore and neither would those girls who play with barbies. I think people now a days look into stupid stuff like this. Let kids be kids.
